On the Eve...

Here we are on the eve of the US Supreme Court Hearing on Proposition 8 and DOMA many people, myself included changed our personal image from a face to a red equality sign

My family really isn't so different from yours. After all, your family doesn't derive its sense of worth from being told by the state, 'You're married, congratulations!'”

This evening I attended a "Call for Prayer on the Eve..."  at the Sunshine Cathedral.  The Gay Men's Chorus sang, wise words were spoken including what Zach Wall said in February 2011

This line stood out "My family really isn't so different for yours. After all, your family doesn't derive it's sense of worth from being told by the  state, 'You're married, congratulations'"

Now, I'm single so am I arguing for something I don't have? NO WAY!

I stand up for all human rights, for freedom and choice and for love

One day I pray I'll meet that one man who I'll ask "Will you marry me?" and then if the US Supreme Court does justice right, we will marry

Radiate Life

When I hit a day I'm feeling down I say and I do it out loud

I radiate love and love fills my life.

Enthusiasm

Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes shine to the stars. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eyes, the swing in your gait. The grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of will and energy to execute your ideas”

Success

Do you ever get to a point in life where you want to give up?

Stop & think about the why and if it can be changed, can YOU create that change?

Try!  Even if failure happens, you did something  to  create change

Who You Are

I JUST came across this phrase "Anything worth doing is worth failing at"

Words spoken by someone who tried to change  other peoples minds &  actions while finding HIS mind & actions were changed.

How often I find I learn from others joys and mistakes so that when I make my own I can own  them with all the joy of being able to learn & grow

Just in the past three years I've started two small businesses that didn't work out. I've learned more each time and keep trying: its the change that made it all worthwhile

What have you learned about your self that changed you?

Voice it for YOU

Lets speak our mind, not beat around the bush or parrot what someone else says

We all have our own thoughts, dreams goals & wishes.

"Dream a dream, be it all."

Open Lanes/Open Minds

I do my best to see and promote 'the good' in all I see.  Is a glass half full or half empty? I really don't care but see water & that there is some.

A few weeks ago, a new client came and I honestly had that first thought "can he afford this service?" Regardless he was there and to make it to where I work had to have paid in full

This non typical client ended up sharing good words & actions (he tipped very well - yes I have a job where tipping is OK)

My first image was shattered.  I opened my mind again and embraced the unusual & unexpected.

Since I can come off odd and unexpected, that idea is more important

I'm doing what we all can do: Opening minds and opening lanes of acceptance

Closed minds do NOT ease congestion!!!

Re Write it here

"Regrets, I've made a few and then again not in a small way"
-Oh the words of the famous Frank Sinatra

I know I make mistakes that could have turned into regrets and at some point I realized I can and do learn from them.

When we make mistakes it shows we're human

Learning from them is far better then dwelling I've found and I can make wiser choices, follow clearer paths and make a new history

You can to: give it a try Use that eraser and move ahead
