Fears, loose them

Fear can keep me still. Some fear is helpful while other fears seem to hold me back

When I fear it is usually from the unknown or about something I have no  real control over

Let those ideas go and fear will go to

Honesty

Honesty refers to a facet of moral character and connotes positive and virtuous attributes such as integrity, truthfulness, straightforwardness, including straightforwardness of conduct, along with the absence of lying, cheating, theft, etc. Furthermore, honesty means being trustworthy, loyal, fair, and sincere.

There's a lot more to being honest than just NOT telling lies. There are lies of omission, the things we don't say, secrets we don't share. Those can be as devastating as an outright lie. 

What's the old saying? "What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive"

Beyond being honest with others I find it imperative to be 100% honest with myself
I've learned my faults, my points of angst and the joys I earned

 Everyday, I write down something I am grateful for about the day I just lived

No Turning Back

I hear a manta again and again "The past is the past and the future has infinite possibilities"

So true when our past/my past life/lives, achievements, accomplishments etc have been filled with wonder. Yet today I see a fabulous future as I write more and keep learning.

Please join me while not ignoring our past (mistakes, errors or even joys) and fully appreciate the here and now knowing our future will be grand

As I age I find learning something new can be not just exciting but invigorating. From art to writing to building a new friendship, etc

Who To Love

I sat in on a couple of conversations about dating. Each one had the same theme "Before I can love someone else I need to love myself"

How true! Self worth means we see our lives as good and good seeks further goodness.

We heard from The Help  "You're kind, you're smart and you're important"

Well, you are and you can love yourself too

Greet the Day

We get up each day, I mean EVERY day at 7:25am.   Not that we have to be anywhere early it's our dog on schedule.  He gets fed each day same time.

Doing that we decided to greet each day with a warm welcome. It makes for a wholesome start to newness.

Now we look at the start of anything with the same vigor. It helps keep an uplifting outlook
